What is a sandbox environment?
Integrating with our sandbox environment has benefits before integrating your production platform into the Bits production platform:
- Our sandbox environment is a safe zone where trial and error will not have any dangerous side effects.
- There is no sensitive data in our sandbox.
- Testing in production will pollute your environment with irrelevant data, and making it hard to distinguish between production and test data. By utilizing our sandbox environment for testing and integration, you can have a clear distinction between test and production data.
- You can try out new features before using them in production.
- Once you are satisfied with the integration in our sandbox environment, you can confidently integrate with our production environment smoothly.
Getting started with our sandbox
To get started with our sandbox, you need to contact us to get access. Once you have access, you can use the following URLs:
- Sandbox Dashboard: https://dashboard.bits.builders (opens in a new tab)
- Sandbox Demo: https://demo.bits.builders (opens in a new tab)
Please note that the top-level domain has changed to builders
.
The demo page is where applications can be started without integrating your service first.
Providers such as BankID, FTN, and MitID that use a third-party app or website exhibit limited functionality in our sandbox environment. When using these providers, the interaction with the third-party app or website is mimicked, and test data is provided.
Some notes about using ID providers in our sandbox:
- When trying out the workflows you have created in our sandbox, you won't need a physical ID, authentication app or similar.
- For eID or eID and PoA, you will see a simulation of the end-user experience. The process will be completed automatically and return data as if the identification was successful.
- For eIDV, you still need to take pictures; however, they will not be parsed and analyzed. The pictures will still be attached and available in the application, just as in production.
